Dear Supporters and Sponsors,

We appreciate your support for this year's Jackson Pollock Event

The Jackson Pollock Splash & Drip Party was fun for all that attended. We manage to conjure up $250.00, plus some non-perishable goods for The Gathering Place. Thanks to the people that attended the event.

We would also like to thank our sponsors, Perron's TIM-BR-MART in Astorville, The Recycling Depot and Home Hardware Seymour St. for supplying the paints, including, Van Houtte for supplying the coffee for the event.

If anyone would like to add to the pot you can mail, hand deliver or contribute online at www.kingsframingandartgallery.com through PayPal.

Jill in charge of The Gathering Place is gracious for the support, like she said: "Any support is good support". It cost $250.00 per day to feed the people that go to The Gathering Place every day.

You never know if one day you will need the facility due to an illness, loss of income or worst a job which drastically reduces your income, but the bills don't stop. We've all heard stories about educated individual that went down on their luck due to an inherited psychological disease and ended up on the street.

I don't know if you heard the story about a university professor in BC, which I will never forget... He even risked his life to save a drowning person. He was a homeless person that had it all and there he was down and out. A disease has no respect of person.

Keep this in mind as you go about your day... "How fortunate we are that our mind doesn't play tricks on us.

Sincerely,

Bob & Lise King

Dear Supporters,

King's Framing & Art Gallery would like to personally invite you to schedule an appearance to attend our Jackson Pollock Splash and Drip Charitable Party on September 19th and 20th, 2009. Our charitable event is for the "Gathering Place" the need has grown in this economic time and they have expressed the need for our support.

We would appreciate any contribution you can afford for the "Gathering Place," so that they can continue to provide healthy meals for the impoverished citizens of North Bay and surrounding areas. In addition, we will accept cash donations and non-perishable goods.
We will be having diverse artists' works for sale, including emerging artists and students that take classes here at the gallery.

On Saturday and Sunday you can meet the artists and have fun doing your own Jackson Pollock Splash and Drip Painting that the whole family can participate. No experience needed.

The donated proceeds will go to the charitable event. We will also be having a charitable barbecue with all the proceeds going to the charity.

We will appreciate it if you could drop by and give your support.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to call us @ (705)-752-4211

Sincerely,

Lise and Bob King

Our Charitable Grand Opening theme focus is on the women crisis centres in North Bay (Amelia Rising Sexual Assault Centre of Nipissing) and Mattawa (Mattawa Women's Resource Centre). One hundred percent (100%) of the sponsors' proceeds is going for these centres. They need our help in order to help mend broken souls. Please consider in becoming a sponsor.

The centres help women access resources to better their lives and their children's lives with counselling, education, prevention, clothing and logging. The centres aslo provides a food bank. They even help individuals with the excess cost incurred with their out of town treatments, like cancer.

Pre-emptive care goes a long way. Amelia Rising Sexual Assault Centre is in the process of organizing a support group for men who suffered abuse themselves. Without these resources there would be nowhere to go and get the help needed to heal the wounds and restore healthy relationships.

These facilities operate on a shoe string budget with volunteers helping where they can. These centres do not receive government funding to counsel men. They have to trust in the good hearted individuals donations in order to make this happen.

Every sponsor will receive a gift certificate for $25.00 off reg. price framing. Don't forget to provide us with your address and phone number.
