Lise King
BIOGRAPHY
Being born and raised in Astorville, Ontario, Lise is extremely familiar with the north, its unique perspectives and its distinctiveness. She is also quite aware of the amenities of the south, having lived in both Mississauga and Windsor.
Throughout her life she has remained dedicated to the arts by being an artist, an instructor and a promoter ... culminating in the establishment of "King's Framing and Art Gallery" of Corbeil, Ontario. Displaying art, conducting art workshops, retailing art supplies and marketing the artwork of many northern artists has become her all-consuming passion as being the owner and manager of King's Framing & Art Gallery.
As an artist, herself, she has utilized a variety of media and, although a realist at heart, she has recently enjoyed experimenting with a Jackson Pollock style of painting that she found quite "liberating compared to the business aspects" of her workaday world.
Celebrating and promoting the artists of northern Ontario has been a natural outcome of being so deeply involved in the art world as an artist and a business woman.
King's Framing & Art Gallery is located in a beautiful country setting, we get to enjoy the things that count the most in life: ‘Nature at its best'.
At the gallery we are blessed with a group of wonderful artists that enjoy the beauty that our Master Artist has created as a template and prose enabling us to reflect, impersonate and personalize our feelings by composing the world through our senses.
As an artist I feel blessed to be able to contribute to the pleasing senses of life. I think we all need time to stop and take pleasure in the beauty that surrounds us. Observe the world on a spiritual level that feeds the soul.
We all need to distress, and art is an enriching mode of escape. I hope that my art does convey a narrated spiritual quality in life that you can relate.
