Aline Coote
Art Biography of Aline Coote
Having been raised in the small cottage community of Astorville, Aline has always been a lover of the outdoors and nature. It only seemed fitting, therefore, that her creative subconscious began to respond to these elements in artistic ways.
Using treasures she finds along the shores of Lake Nipissing - driftwood, shards of beach glass, brick, porcelain, china, coal and stones all worn smooth by time water and sand - she creates her unique pieces. She believes that wearing these treasures allows one to appreciate the harmony of these natural elements.
Aline hasn't stopped at "Wearable Treasures" however. She has also initiated a collection of hanging wire-worked treasures, ranging from wire-wrapped bottles, strings of Lake Nipissing stones, stars, book hooks and her famous "Lake Nipissing rock bass".
One can now enjoy Aline's work by contacting King's Framing and Art Gallery of Corbeil, Ontario [telephone 705-752-4211; website: www.kingsframingandartgallery.com] where he is currently a member of "The Consolidated Group of 7's".
