Caren Gagne

Caren's style is extreme; soft and subtle when using waters, and bold when painting in oils. She frequently incorporates solids as embellishment and used the soft pliable texture of the oil to produce 30 pieces.

Her watercolour styles move from the ‘Big Brush Technique' when in the South, to more of the realism nature when she is home in Northern Ontario.

Caren's passion lies in the seashores and small towns of the south, to the Spiritual world of the Anishinaabe culture. One of her paintings has been considered for the cover of a women' Native Drumming C.D.

She believes in being true to oneself and being thankful for each day, including lessons learned from life.

Caren is a successful business woman who has chosen to live in Northern Eastern Ontario. She has four grown children and three grandsons and lives with her life partner, Jerry, her dog Max and two many cats. She values her wonderful friendships, plays a little guitar and is learning the violin.
