Gesso provides an absorbent surface ideal for paint. It is waterproof, lightfast, non-yellowing and flexible. Demco gesso can be used with acrylic and oil painting, casein, gouache, pastels, charcoal and pencils. It is easy to apply with a brush, a paint roller or a paint knife on dry and porous surfaces.
Supports dry surfaces: canvas, cotton, cardboard, plaster, concrete and more.
Use this gesso like most regular gessoes: apply the black gesso, allow it to dry, and sand between layers to achieve a smooth finish. Once dry, Demco Gesso Black will remain semi-flexible and will not yellow over time.
Practical information:
- Clean with water and soap.
- Shake before use.
- Do not apply with turpentine or oil.
- Can be diluted with water in small quantities to avoid cracking.
