Cartiera Magnani Paper company with over 600 years of fine art papermaking experience, you can be assured that Cartiera Magnani has earned its stellar reputation. Founded in 1404, it wasnandrsquo;t until the 18th century when Magnani started exporting their fine papers to South America, the Near East and throughout Europe that they gained their worldly reputation. But it was then, between 1770 and 1800, that Magnani became the quintessential luxury paper. Famous artists and world leaders began shopping at Magnani mills, and even Napoleon chose Magnani invitations for his wedding to Maria Luisa of Austria in 1810. Magnani is not only famous for their extensive knowledge of paper production, but also their research into new manufacturing techniques. Today, Magnani still features only handmade papers that are sure to please the most discerning artists.
