The formula provides all the density and richness of classic cadmium colours. The hues are virtually identical in colour to their namesakes but are cleaner in mixtures and more robust in tints—you’ll find that a little goes a long way. The working properties—staining power, semi-transparency, and excellent light fastness—are also nearly identical to those of the low-soluble cadmium colours we previously offered. Cadmium Orange Hue is a deep, radiant orange that leans slightly toward red.

Other Unique Watercolours are created from pigments that DANIEL SMITH has sourced, often from very specific locations, with colours such as Burgundy Yellow Ochre, Monte Amiata Natural Sienna, and Roasted French Ochre. Some are created exclusively by DANIEL SMITH, such as Cascade Green, Deep Sap Green and Green Gold.
