Daniel Smith Ivory Black is a warm, semi-transparent leaning to an opaque pigment. Historically, this black was derived from burnt ivory from an endangered species. Thankfully, this is no longer the practice. Ivory Black, touched with yellow, creates a blackened green that is excellent for backlit foliage. Think Sumi and hand-painted stone lithographs. This colour can be used to darken transparent pigments.

Daniel Smith Watercolour Sticks offer vibrant colours and the same pure artists' pigments as their Extra Fine Watercolour Paint. They are very portable and long-lasting and make excellent on-the-go painting tools. Each stick is packed with pure pigment, producing vibrant, strong colour when wet.
