Unlike other brands, DANIEL SMITH New Gamboge is an excellent lightfast formulation. It's a transparent organic pigment that ranges from your colour wheel's yellow to the orange zone. It is more staining than Yellow Ochre and has an equal tinting ability to Raw Sienna. It's a good substitute for those colours when transparency and non-granulation are desired while avoiding thick, muddy passages.

With DANIEL SMITH Watercolour Sticks, you can:

• Draw directly onto dry or wet paper for different line characteristics.
• Soften your lines with a wet brush.
• Blend colours with your wet brush, both on the paper and Stick.
• Draw onto paper. Then, with a wet brush, take up the Watercolour Stick pigment and paint from it, like you would with paint in a pan.
• Add water to create light washes using your brush.
