Enkaustikos Hot Cakes encaustic wax paints feature professional, artist grade paints made from the most beautiful pigments, finest damar gum, and United States pharmaceutical grade white beeswax. These wax paints contain no bleach or synthetic adulterants whatsoever.

These paints have a high pigment load that are light, fast and engineered to withstand the heat requirements of the encaustic process. With Enkaustikos' advanced milling system, the pigments are milled to their finest particle size making our paints densely pigmented, creamy, and yielding the most vibrant and intense colours.

To use, place the metal tin directly on your hot palette for easy heating. The lid can be used to protect your paints during storage. The Hot Cakes tin itself can also be refilled with our Original Cakes, and have 87 encaustic paints to choose from in the 1.5 fl oz size and 21 colours poured into the larger, more economical 4 fl oz size, where you will enjoy the wide mouth tins and extra room for adding extra wax medium.
