This lightly textured paper surface is the most popular finish for watercolour paintings. It reflects light well, retaining the transparent quality of watercolours. The light tooth makes it easier to achieve certain details, while the slightly rougher texture shows off granulating colours beautifully. Not limited to watercolours, it's also recommended for gouache, acrylic, airbrush, graphite, pastels, and charcoal.

Fluid Watercolour Paper is crafted in a European mill which produced its first paper stock in 1618. The mill masters craft small batches at slow speeds allowing for finer control of quality. This slow approach produces a sheet of great strength that shares much of the working integrity of more expensive mould-made papers.

Each 22" x 30" Fluid Watercolour Paper sheet is 140 lb. with a low cold pressed texture and a soft white colour. The paper is internally and externally sized. Made from high quality alpha-cellulose, it carries the Certified Permanent Paper seal which ensures it's acid-free and archival.
