Rembrandt Artists' Soft Pastels are made from the highest quality pure pigments finely ground in an extra-fine kaolin clay binder. They have a velvety smooth softness and are thoroughly blended and uniform, without hard bits or sharp edges that could cause shiny spots or scratches during application. Each round pastel stick is paper-wrapped and printed with the colour name and number, the price series letter, the lightfastness rating, and the number suffix indicating whether it is a shade (.3), pure tone (.5), or a tint (.7, .8, .9, etc.).

We offer you the full range of Rembrandt colours in open stock. Rembrandt pastels are made from the purest pigments and are mixed with the finest quality kaolin clay binder. No pigments containing heavy metals, such as cadmium, lead, and cobalt, are used in production, ensuring the pastels have no hard bits or sharp edges.

These pastels are harder in consistency than many soft pastels, allowing for more control and definition in your painting. Whole sticks measure 2 3/4" long × 7/16" in diameter (70 mm × 11 mm). They are paper-wrapped and sold individually.

Sets contain full-stick pastels except where noted. Wood box sets feature sturdy, beautiful boxes with moulded foam inserts to protect the pastel sticks, making them both attractive and practical. Half-sticks are available only in sets. Half sticks measure 1 3/8" long and are unwrapped.
