La Carte Pastel is the very first product developed especially for pastel painting. La Carte Pastel has a 360 g (170-lb) stiff bristol type weight, so unlike paper it cannot be easily folded, creased or punctured. La Carte Pastel has a neutral pH, slightly abrasive vegetable fiber coating that actually reacts with soft andamp; oil pastel to provide enhanced adhesion and thus, reducing the need to heavily fix artwork.

A paper for all dry drawing techniques:andnbsp;soft pastel, charcoal and graphite. This surface is created with finely ground (pH neutral) natural cork applied to aandnbsp;360 g (170 lb). (pH neutral) board and creates a soft sand-like surface.

The sheet of tracing paper is designed to help artists assess their work on the various colours of La Carte Pastel. Using the Sennelier pastels, draw a sketch on the tracing paper and place it over each sheet of La Carte. Then pick the colour of La Carte that enhances your work the best.

This high tooth texture pastel card is made from a thin layer of finely ground vegetable fibres (fine cork particles) which gives a velvety grain surface and decreases the need for fixative. Surface sheet, backing board andamp; adhesives are acid free but are not necessarily lightfast.
