Sennelier Oil Pastels (Pastels à l'Huile), manufactured in Paris, are made with carefully selected mineral and organic pigments, mixed with a specially formulated non-drying binder, and combined with the finest quality wax.andnbsp;Sennelier pastels are acid-free and can be applied to any surface. At ¾" diameter × 5" long, each of these pastel sticks is equivalent to eight regular size sticks.

Created in the 1940s in collaboration with Picasso, these creamy, lipstick-like pastels are rich in pigment, cover well, and have outstanding opacity and lightfastness. These pastels are available in 110 “classic” colours and 10 iridescent colours. They are acid-free, can be applied to any surface, and may be thinned with turpentine and worked with a brush. Modern Sennelier Oil Pastels’ diameter is 20% larger than the original stick and is available in a larger size called “Grand,” which is the equivalent of 8 regular size sticks.
