Lise believe art is a life long journey. I’ve been doing art for as far as I can remember.  I started as a child learning from my father how to colour with coloured crayons within the lines, then colouring in the same direction, using proper colour…  My grade 8 teacher (Dorval Guillemette) entered me in a scholarship program at Sheridan College and had won a scholarship for when I turned 16 years old.

Coming from a small Northern rural town of Astorville going to the big city as a teen was out of the question for my father.  Thus, the arts were discouraged by my father.  I remained artistic for the desire to create beauty was in me.  Later I became a certified hairstylist, then a certified makeup artist, ironically in Toronto.  After a while I became a freelance hair and makeup artists in the big city.

Then got seriously ill and had to pack that in and move back up North.  Subsequently I came back to my roots and continued my concentration on healing myself through the arts, which has been my all-consuming art career that I am happy to share with the world.

At present I am an art instructor and do commission work.

  • Biography

Lise is a Northern Canadian professional artist that strives to create thoughtful and balanced pieces of art, a representation of her life experiences in her artistic journey as she paints a path through self-discovery.  She pours her soul into her paintings revealing a bit of who she is by her expressions of her muse revealing how she views her world, which enables her to discover more of herself on a deeper level as she conveys her prose to the viewer.

As a mixed media realist, impressionist or abstract artist, she strives to capture the viewer’s senses.  Lise believe art is a convergence of her life’s adventures, self-exploration, mindful meditation, a path to self discovery forever emerging and mutating as she grounds herself in her work.

Learning a range of mediums has allowed her to experiment by intergrading layers of colours and textures to create depth and form in her paintings.  These different mediums have allowed her to express the images she envisions.  Lise deem art as an extension of oneself and an expression of our life’s course.

As we mature through various experiences building layers that form our characters, creating individual colourful mosaic tapestry of our eccentric personalities, we never know what our metamorphic future will hold.

At present Lise is an art instructor and do commission work.  In the end, all one hopes, is that you enjoy her artworks as much as she cherished the journey.

My survival stash of Derwent Artbars just arrived in perfect condition, and sooner than expected.
Many thanks

I wanted to let you know that I just received my online order of my favourite St. Armand Paper plus markers.  I am so impressed with your service – thank you so much.   I am a member of our local art centre here in Kimberley BC and we have very few choices of where to purchase our supplies.  We usually leave our buying list to when we make our four hour journey into Calgary.   You have made our lives so much simpler.   I will passing on your website to my artist group of friends.

Thank you again.
I will be back.

- Marg Scott

Thanks very much Bob, the parcel arrived last Monday and the paintings are already hanging on the wall. I appreciate your excellent service.

Cheers,

I received your order promptly. I'm very impressed on how well packaged it was, as well as the choice of art supplies you have. I've now added you on my list of go-to suppliers...

Great job!

I do not do large orders often but have ordered with you once before. Your paint prices are so much better than Toronto art stores. If there are any product samples that you want to get rid of, I would be happy to receive them as I experiment with a lot of different supplies. Please save on packaging and send everything at one time. I stopped ordering from Amazon, because their overuse of packaging is out of control, and I prefer to support Cdn businesses as much as I can. Thank you for your great service, I had a great experience with my last order.

I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you for sending, at no charge, the taper point shaper, I really appreciate it. Aside from this, I meant to drop you a note after I received my previous order which was also my first. Thanks for taking such great care in packaging the items purchased, such professionalism is rare to find, thank you!

I hope I’ll be able to  broaden the array of items I will order from your store, I wish you’d carry PastelMat paper J

Take care
