I am a Canadian Northern artist that strives to create thoughtful and balanced pieces of art, a representation of my experiences in my artistic journey as I paint a path through self-discovery. I pour my soul into my painting revealing a bit of who I am by my expressions of how I view my world, which enables me to discover more of myself on a deeper level as I express my prose to the viewer.
As a realist, impressionist or abstract artist, I strive to capture the viewer’s senses. Then again, when doing abstract I allow the movement of the paint to inspire me in the course of my painting. I believe art is a convergence of my life’s adventures, self-exploration, mindfulness, meditation, a path to self discovery forever emerging and mutating as I ground myself in my work.
Learning a range of mediums has allowed me to experiment by intergrading layers of various textures to create depth and form in my paintings whether it is a realist painting or abstract. It reminds me of life many colourful layers. These different mediums have allowed me to express myself in a unique manner the images envisioned in my mind. Art mimics life’s course as we mature, through various experiences building layers that form our characters, an individual colourful mosaic for the viewer to enjoy.
Lise is a Northern Canadian Visual Artists. Her mosaic artistic adventure started as a child when she had won a Sheridan art scholarship in grade 8. As exciting as it may be at this time in her life as an artist, a business person and an advocate for the arts; Lise believes learning is a life time ongoing study that should be pursued.
She also enjoys sharing her acquired skills with her students. She finds teaching rewarding when seeing the joy in their eyes as they see themselves succeed. In 2010, Lise obtained an Artist Educator Foundations Certificate with the Royal Conservatory of the Arts and was also trained as a Tri-Art instructor and distributor. In 2012 she became a Namta Certified Art Materials Professional by the International Art Material Trade Association. In 2013, she acquired a (SoC) School of Colour Teacher & Tutor Certification. In 2014 she was trained as a United Way Certified Train the Trainer Facilitator. In 2015, she completed training with Golden Artist Colours, Inc. materials and application Specialist Michael Townsend on the range of Golden products and their uses. Through King’s Framing & Art Gallery she continues her growth in the arts from various international art instructors’ workshops while sharing them with her artistic community.
Lise dedication to the arts has expanded from art instructor and promoter of arts and culture, culminating in the establishment of “King's Framing & Art Gallery" in Corbeil, Ontario and founder of “The Consolidated Artist Group of 7s”. Since 2010, Lise has been the Administrative Event Coordinator of Art in the Park that was part of Summer in the Park North Bay until 2013, when she stepped down. She has also been the Administrative Event Coordinator of Culture Days in Corbeil for the past 6 years. This year we added the Northern Arts Festival Ontario expanding our footprint in the Municipality of East Ferris.
Recently, Lise was elected as a Director on the Namta Executive Board and Art Advocacy International on behalf of Canadians.
