Derwent Inktense Coloured Pencils offer intense colour combined with a translucent effect for bold, expressive drawings; round 8mm barrel; wide 4mm core.Derwent Inktense Pencils are pure, vibrant water-soluble ink pencils.
They combine the intensity of pen and ink with the versatility of line and wash. To create strong, vivid tones, apply a light water wash to achieve a translucent, ink-like effect. Wash the pigment out thoroughly, and once dry, the colour will be permanent and can be worked over again with soluble and non-soluble media. The possibilities are endless, and the results are stunning.

The pencils are as versatile as watercolour pencils, with a firmer texture that allows them to perform with the brilliant intensity of traditional pen and ink.
- You can use them dry, but mix them with water, and the colour turns into vibrant ink; once dry, the colour wash is permanent and can be embellished with wet or dry media
- Smooth, dry colour is easy to apply and produces a vibrant finish.
- Large colour strip for expressive gestures, bright, intense colour and easy colour wash to create an ink-like effect.
- Firm lay down - more like a pen.

- Round stained ink blue barrel with colour dip end and metallic blue trim.
- Extra wide 0.15" core and round 0.31" barrel.
- Range of 72 jewel-like colours
- Includes a non-soluble outliner

Create in Three Ways:
On Silk — Wet the silk and use a dry pencil to draw directly on the surface, or lift the colour from the pencil with a wet brush and apply directly onto the surface. Once dry, the piece can be washed and ironed.
Rubber Stamping — Use the Inktense pencils to fill in gaps created by the stamp or mix Inktense and water to create a paint that can be applied to the stamp surface.
Quilting — Dab a small amount of textile medium on your fabric and colour it with Inktense for a permanent design.
