Good pencil drawings start with a good graphite pencil!

Derwent Onyx Pencils are made from smooth, dark graphite that delivers dense, rich, jet-black tones, even darker than Derwent's Graphic 9B pencil, available in two tones, Medium and Dark.

Because of its non-crumbly texture, the wide 4 mm core can sharpen and hold a fine point, making these pencils great for expressive sketches and detailed technical and architectural drawings.

Darker shades can be built up by applying increased pressure. Apply less pressure for lighter shades and more detailed artwork. These pencils can also be smudged and blended with your finger or a tortillon.
