Liquitex Matte Super Heavy Gel provides the widest variety of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process. Liquitex Gel Mediums enhance the thickness of thinner paint for impasto techniques, increase colour volume, and enhance transparency. It features a remarkably thick, extra-heavy body—the thickest "clear" gel.
Gels typically dry more slowly than thinner paint films, allowing for extended working time. Gel mediums can modify acrylic paints in various ways, and because they contain acrylic resins, they generally enhance adhesion and durability. Liquitex gel mediums can add texture, improve colour, and increase transparency in your artwork.

Matte Super Heavy Gel Medium is a heavy-bodied medium with great density and an extra-high viscosity. It dries to a translucent gloss finish. It increases body, density, and viscosity, attaining the consistency of oil paint with brush or palette knife marks.
Extending paint while increasing brilliance and transparency keeps paint workable longer than other gel mediums.
Use it as an extender, a ground, or a binder for powdered pigments to make an inexpensive "student grade" extra-heavy viscosity thick matte paint, student-grade " extra-heavy-viscosity
