The bristle artist brushes are created with natural hog hair. Hog-hair brushes can absorb and carry enough paint due to their split ends. The long matte-green handle will sit comfortably in your hand as you perfect your easel painting. The ferrule is made from pure copper and coated in a triple-crimped epoxy barrier. This upholds the life of the brush by reducing the chance of water damage.
The Extra Long Filbert Long Handle brushes are especially prized by portrait and figure painters for their sharp chisel edges. It offers fine control for detailed and broad strokes. It also holds more paint, so there is less reloading of colour.
After using one of the Grand Prix brushes, ensure to clean it properly. After you have completed an oil painting session, wipe the brush with a towel. Use mineral spirit or odourless solvent to remove oil paint completely. King’s also carries TOXIN FREE PLANT-BASE SOLVENT to use and clean your brushes. When used with acrylic, water-based paints, clean brushes with brush soaps. Remember never to leave a Grand Prix brush soaking in water, as this can damage the handle.
