Unwrap Creativity This Christmas – Craft More, Spend Less!
Conté à Paris pastel pencils are available in a range of 48 colours. The density is slightly harder than the Conté soft pastel range, which means the pencils are perfect for detailed work and make them an ideal complement to soft pastels. The exceptional diameter of the Conte, a Paris pastel pencil (5 mm) lead, gives genuine freedom of creation and has an unrivalled feel. The pastel is the perfect pencil companion to soft pastel because its lead is slightly harder with less pigment. It is preferable to Conte soft pastels and crayons when details are required for small and medium-sized formats.

Description: Cont? ? Paris Pencil Assorted Tin Set of 12
The exceptional diameter (5mm) of the Conté à Paris Pastel Pencil lead gives genuine freedom of creation and has an unrivalled feel. It is the perfect pencil companion to Soft Pastels because its lead is slightly harder, with less pigment. When you require detail for small and medium-sized formats, Pastel Pencil is preferable to Soft Pastels and Carré Crayons. In contrast with Soft Pastels, Pastel Pencils are best used as pure colours laid out in a patchwork fashion, side by side - rather than layered - so the shades are not diminished. Available in a range of 48 vibrant colours, loose and in sets. andnbsp; Frenchman Nicolas Conté was a classic 18th-century Renaissance man: a chemist, inventor, soldier and balloonist, and artist. Most importantly, for our purposes, he created the pencil as we know it, responding to a wartime lack of British graphite by mixing the material with clay, thereby introducing the possibility of different degrees of hardness. He then invented the Conté Carré Crayon, a firm pastel used by Degas and Picasso. The company is still famed for these and other ranges of pastels, crayons, and pencils.CONTÉ À PARIS PASTEL PENCILS
