Neocolor I water-resistant wax oil pastels are a must-have medium much loved by artists, technical designers, teachers and Fine Art students. These water-resistant crayons are soft and easy to work with. They feature exceptional covering power and excellent lightfastness and are outstanding for underpainting. Their hardness allows them to be sharpened more easily for detail and edge work.

TECHNIQUES:

• Usable on various materials: paper, cardboard, glass, wood, leather, fabric, and stone
• Soluble in turpentine.
• Encaustic on hot metal.
• It can be combined with Neocolor II and is water soluble.

Place a sheet of heavy paper on a heated surface. Draw with Neocolor I, allowing the pastel to melt. Work in any remaining bits with a spatula. Neocolor I, particularly the metallic colours, gives good, luminous coverage even on dark paper.
