Gamblin 1980 Oil Colors are made with the same dedication and pure pigments that go into our Artist’s Oils. They also use the same mixing, milling, filling, and hand labelling process.

Some manufacturers use gels and waxes to stiffen oils and replace traditional pigments with less expensive ones to reduce the cost of oil colours.

Gamblin’s approach is different. 1980 colours contain pure pigments, the finest refined linseed oil, and marble dust (calcium carbonate). Since oil painting began, these three ingredients have made more affordable colours.
