Liquitex Slow-Dri Blending Medium Fluid Painting Medium is a unique formulation that extends drying time by up to 40% when blending with acrylics. It adds flow to Liquitex Heavy Body Professional Artist Colour and has a similar consistency to Liquitex Soft Body Professional Artist Colour. Mix any amount into the colour to enhance the depth of colour intensity, increase transparency and gloss, ease the flow of paint, and add flexibility and adhesion to the paint film. It dries clear to reveal the full, rich colour. Unlike retarding additives, any quantity may be added to the colour without jeopardizing the strength of the paint film.

Liquitex Texture Gels are translucent when wet and transparent when dry. Formulated for maximum flexibility and adhesion, they will not chip or crack on canvas. APPLICATIONS AS EXTENDER: Mix with Liquitex Soft Body Colour to lengthen drying time, extend volume, and increase transparency while maintaining the viscosity and flow of the paint. Combine with Liquitex Heavy Body Colour to slow drying time, extend volume, and increase transparency while thinning the acrylic paint.

AS FIXATIVE: It is used to enhance gloss or shine and prolong the drying time. Employ an atomizer or airbrush filled with a mixture of one part medium and one part water. Apply as a fixative over artwork (acrylic paint, pastels, graphite, chalk) to improve gloss or shine. The prolonged drying time allows for additional media manipulation on the surface before making final adjustments.
