Sennelier D'Artigny Aerosol Spray Fixative for Oil Pastels is made from a vinyl resin and alcohol base; this transparent fixative leaves a clear and glossy film to protect oil pastels against dust and smearing.
This film not only protects the pastel surface from dust and grit but also hardens up the surface to minimize accidental damage in handling finished works.

Oil Pastel Fixative is a totally transparent fixative based on vinyl resins and alcohol. Give a colourless and brilliant film. It isolates the oil pastel (which does not dry in itself), dust and friction.
Apply in several light coats rather than one heavy application for best results. Turn the can upside down after use and press the button for a few seconds until the gas escapes.
