Yasutomo Shuji Gami Rice Paper Roll, 18″ x 30′
This 30-foot roll of acid-free rice paper is highly absorbent, making it ideal for drawing, calligraphy, Sumi-e, block-printing, and watercolour painting. The paper is not sized.
This delicate paper has two surfaces: one with more substance to hold ink or paint, which gives the character that creates hazy and softer edges. The smoother side is for smaller brush strokes and fine calligraphy.

Yasutomo Rice paper is perfect for traditional Sumi ink drawing, painting, block printing, watercolour, charcoal, crayon, oil pastels and soft pastels.
It is also great for use in Sumi-E, calligraphy, and paper crafts.
Printmakers prefer its absorbency, strength, and versatility. Painters like it for ink, watercolour, and lettering. Artists also use it for rubbing techniques.
It is made with long fibres, making it strong enough to withstand various art processes. One side is very smooth, and the reverse is a rough finish.
