A smoother, flatter, more opaque, brilliant professional gouache.

Winsor andamp; Newton have offered the finest professional gouache available since 1935. Designers Gouache is a range of opaque watercolours, used by designers, illustrators and commercial artists to create vibrant illustrations.

Today the Designers Gouache range benefits from significant developments in technology and is smoother, flatter, more opaque and more brilliant than ever before.

With 82 colours, chosen for their colour bias (undertone), colour strength and relative opacity, the range includes bright and lightfast colours.

Intermixability
All Designers Gouache colours are fully intermixable and, an opaque watercolour, can be used with Winsor andamp; Newton watercolours for a matt, flat colour effect.

Pigments
The opacity of Designers Gouache is due to the exceptionally high levels of pigmentation in the formulation, which results in both covering power and clean colour mixing. The natural attribute of each pigment adds to the level of opacity and contributes to covering power.

Surface Sheen
As a result of the high level of pigmentation and the Gum Arabic binder Designers Gouache dries to a matt finish. This reduces reflection when photographing gouache art work.
