Damar is a natural resin harvested from trees in Indonesia and Malaysia. Weber uses only the finest selected damar resins to create its damar varnish, producing a durable and flexible final varnish for oil paintings with a high-gloss finish. This varnish is robust and adaptable, tailored for the final artwork coating, and offers an exceptionally glossy finish. Damar varnish provides a protective layer that prevents dust and airborne contaminants from sticking to the surface of an oil painting. It can be easily removed with a solvent.

Damar is a durable and flexible varnish made from Singapore White Damar Gum. It offers a protective, high gloss sheen for oil paintings, enhancing their brilliance. Free of artificial dryers, it will respond to standard solvents.

Thins easily with Turpenoid or turpentine.

Apply with a quality varnish brush to avoid brush strokes and ensure a smooth finish. Weber Damar Varnish resists blush and bloom. It is prepared from actual Singapore white damar gum. It contains no artificial driers—thin and clean brushes with turpentine.
