Winsor and Newton Drying Oils Mediums
A volatile, flammable diluent is suitable for thinning oil colours and cleaning brushes.
- Drying oils control colour, prevent over-thinning when mixed with solvents and help maintain flexibility of the paint film.
- Bleached Linseed Oil - Improves the flow of oil colours. Use pale colours and white. Reliable, non-yellowing.
- Cold Pressed Linseed Oil - Reduces consistency and brush marks. Increases gloss, slows drying rates, increases transparency.
- Drying Poppy Oil is a fast-drying, pale oil made from poppy seeds suited for whites and pale colours. Reduces consistency, increases gloss, and transparency resists yellowing.
- Linseed Oil - Increases flow, transparency and gloss.
- Refined Linseed Oil - Increases flow, transparency and gloss. Slows drying.
- Safflower Oil - A slow-drying oil that improves the flow and is well suited for pale colours. Increases gloss and transparency, resists yellowing.
- Stand Oil - Pale, thick oil. Mix with turpentine or mineral spirits to improve the flow of oils. Flexible finish.
