Winsor andamp; Newton Artists' Canvas Boards are excellent for work in the studio, and because they are light and portable, they are a particular favourite of Plein air painters.

They consist of a strip of medium grain, a lightweight canvas which has been sized and universally primed for a balanced absorbency. The canvas is laminated onto a rigid and stable board.

Winsor andamp; Newton Artists' Canvas Boards for general use with oil (including water mixable), acrylic and alkyd colours.

Originally a sketcher's product, these superior quality canvas boards produced by Winsor andamp; Newton feature canvas laminated onto high-quality boards of excellent stability.

Medium-grained cotton surface, ideal for all techniques, including heavier application of colour. They are stretched by hand for correct tension and tailored corners.

Triple-coated using acid-free sizing and two coats of highly pigmented primer formulated by Winsor andamp; Newton. Balanced absorbency and tooth prevent sinking of oil colours and improve adhesion.
