Liquitex Fluid Mediums perform much in the way that their name implies; they are fluid and reduce the viscosity of heavier paints and gels. They tend to self-level and do not retain brushstrokes. Liquitex Fluid Mediums modify acrylic paints in various ways and contain acrylic resins to maintain or enhance adhesion and durability. Liquitex Glazing Medium Fluid Painting Medium is ideal for creating brilliant, jewel-like glazes with acrylic artist colours. Excellent brushing and levelling qualities.

Liquitex offers the broadest range of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process.
Liquitex mediums dry quickly for rapid layering. Mix with any amount of acrylic colour; small quantities of colour provide the most transparency. Works best with transparent or translucent colours.
Formulated for maximum flexibility and adhesion, it will not chip or crack on canvas. It can be applied to any material or surface that will accept traditional acrylic media, such as canvas, paper, wood, etc. Liquitex Texture Gels are lightweight, non-toxic, and dry to a water-resistant, non-yellowing surface.
APPLICATION: Apply to dry, painted areas to change colouration without losing established detail. The underlayer must be thoroughly dry before applying the next coat. It may be dried with a hair dryer to speed dry. Mix in a small amount of colour with the medium. Mix thoroughly, and the colour will lighten and become cloudy. The Colour will darken and go back to a thin transparent version of the original colour as the medium dries and becomes translucent.
