Liquitex mediums dry quickly, allowing for rapid layering. They can be mixed with any amount of acrylic colour, with small quantities providing the most transparency. These mediums work best with transparent or translucent colours. Formulated for maximum flexibility and adhesion, they will not chip or crack on canvas. They can be applied to any material or surface that accepts traditional acrylic media, such as canvas, paper, wood, and so on. APPLICATION: Apply to dry, painted areas to alter colouration without compromising established detail. The underlayer must be thoroughly dry before applying the next coat. A hairdryer may be used to expedite drying. Mix a small amount of colour with the medium. Combine thoroughly; the colour will lighten and become cloudy. The colour will darken and revert to a thin, transparent version of the original hue as the medium dries and becomes translucent.
