Modelling Gel is the most viscous of our mediums. It is an ultra-thick gel capable of holding extreme texture. This gel is best applied with spreading tools and is ideal for collaging heavy objects and creating heavy impasto.

Tri-Art Gloss and Semi-Gloss Gel Mediums are, in essence, high-viscosity paints without pigment. Formulated from 100% pure acrylic polymer emulsion, they are white when wet and dry to a glossy or semi-glossy, flexible film.

Tri-Art's Gel Mediums have a creamy, buttery consistency and can hold every texture detail, from high peaks to fingerprints. They maintain optimal flexibility and a fast-drying film that will not yellow with time, even in very thick coats.

This makes them excellent as a colour extender or impasto glazing medium. Their superior adhesive quality makes them the ideal collage and mixed media medium.

Mix with colour to increase volume and add an ultra-thick body for dramatic textures. It is ideal for extreme impasto effects. It can be applied on top of a dry layer of paint or mixed colour. Milky when wet, dries translucent with very good clarity.
