This range of mediums was explicitly developed for use with Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colours. With these mediums, the characteristics of water-mixable oil colours can be modified, enabling all traditional oil colour techniques can be achieved.

A fast-drying medium enhances the flow and speeds the drying time of Artisan colours. It smooths brushwork and increases transparency. It's ideal for glazing, enabling fine detail, and is also resistant to yellowing.

Linseed Oil reduces consistency and improves the flow of Artisan colours. It also increases gloss and transparency.

Stand Oil improves the flow and levelling of Artisan colours. It smoothes brushwork, making it excellent for glazing and fine detail, and it is slow drying.

Oil Painting Medium thins the consistency of Artisan colours for fine detail work and improves the flow and wetting. It dries slowly to a flexible film and is suitable for oiling out and enriching dull patches.

Impasto Medium adds texture to Artisan oil colours and speeds their drying time, allowing impasto and knife techniques.

Thinner dilutes the colour of Artisan oil. It evaporates more slowly than water and has an increased viscosity. To avoid over-thinning the colour, use it in conjunction with any Artisan mediums.
