Oil Painting Medium thins the consistency of Artisan colours for fine detail work and enhances flow and wetting. It dries slowly to create a flexible film, making it ideal for oiling out and revitalizing dull patches.

This range of mediums was explicitly developed for use with Artisan Water Mixable Oil Colours. With these mediums, the characteristics of water-mixable oil colours can be altered, and all traditional oil colour techniques can be achieved.

A fast-drying medium improves the flow and speeds the drying time of Artisan colours. It smoothes brushwork and increases transparency. It is excellent for glazing, producing fine detail, and is also resistant to yellowing.

Linseed Oil reduces consistency and improves the flow of Artisan colours. It also increases gloss and transparency.

Stand Oil improves the flow and levelling of Artisan colours. It smoothes brushwork, making it excellent for glazing and fine detail, and it is slow drying.

Impasto Medium adds texture to Artisan oil colours and speeds their drying time, allowing impasto and knife techniques.

Thinner dilutes the colour of Artisan oil. It evaporates more slowly than water and has an increased viscosity. To avoid over-thinning the colour, use it in conjunction with any Artisan mediums.
