Artisan Water Mixable Stand Oil is an excellent glazing medium. It can be combined with water or Artisan Thinner to increase gloss and transparency.

The benefit of Artisan Water-Mixable Stand Oil is that it produces a paler, more flexible film than Artisan Linseed Oil and has excellent levelling properties.

Stand oil is a more durable type of Linseed Oil. When heated without oxygen, it partially polymerizes, producing a longer drying time.

Artisan Oil Painting Mediums should not be used with traditional oil colours. It is always best to choose one medium and use it throughout the painting, as with conventional oils.

It can be cleaned up with water.
