A modelling compound is a thick, heavy-bodied paste that adds structure and dimension to any surface. Its accessible moulding properties allow you to build textures and reliefs. When dry, it is tough and permanent, allowing colours to be mixed or applied to the surface. Create one layer at a time and allow it to dry completely. Blend it with an acrylic medium to increase suppleness on flexible surfaces.

Create three-dimensional works that enhance structure, dimension, texture, and relief. Use non-oily, absorbent surfaces and apply with a palette knife or a dry brush. Build one layer at a time, allowing it to dry completely. Blend with an acrylic medium to improve flexibility on pliable surfaces.

Experiment by adding DEMCO EnCouleurs acrylic colours directly to the modelling compound. Once fully dry, it can be sanded or carved.
