A modelling compound is a thick, heavy-bodied paste that adds structure and dimension to any surface. It allows you to build textures and relief with its easy moulding properties. Tough and permanent when dry, colours can be mixed in or applied to the surface. Create one layer at a time and allow it to dry completely. To increase flexibility on pliable surfaces, blend it with an acrylic medium.

Create three-dimensional works that enhance structure, dimension, texture, and relief. Use non-oily absorbent surfaces, applying with a palette knife or a dry brush. Build up one layer at a time and allow it to dry completely. Mix in acrylic medium to enhance flexibility on workable surfaces.

Experiment by incorporating DEMCO EnCouleurs acrylic colours directly into the modelling compound. Once fully dry, it can be sanded or carved.
