Gum Arabic acts as a binding medium for a variety of applications. Mix it with water and Pearl Ex (or other dry pigments) to produce transparent watercolours, washes, and inks suitable for stamping and calligraphy. It can be applied to paper, wood, or any surface that won't be washed. Gum Arabic results in a glossy paint that is easy to brush or stamp on, blending and cleaning up effortlessly with water. Contains 1 ounce. Non-toxic.

The finest grade of pure Acacia Senegal and A. Arabica. Use as a binder, medium, emulsifier, and film former. Gum Arabic will produce a glossy, easy brushing or stamping solution. It will gradually increase tack as it dries. Easily mixed and cleaned up with water. A solution of water and gum may be prepared and stored for convenience.

Instructions

Add dry gum to the pigment in a ratio of 1 part gum to 4 parts pigment. (The Ratio of gum to pigment may be adjusted for different effects.) Slowly add water and mix until the desired consistency is achieved. Solutions of gum and water may also be prepared and stored in a cool place for later use.
