Gloss Super Heavy Gel Medium is a heavy-bodied medium with great density and an exceptionally high viscosity. It dries to a translucent gloss finish. This heavy gel increases body, density, and viscosity, achieving a consistency similar to oil paint with visible brush or palette knife marks. Extending paint while enhancing brilliance and transparency allows for a longer workable time compared to other gel mediums. Use it as an extender, a ground, or a binder for powdered pigments to create an affordable "student-grade" extra-heavy viscosity thick gloss paint.

APPLICATION: AS EXTENDER: Mix with Liquitex Soft Body Artist Colour or Liquitex Heavy Body Professional Artist Colour to increase colour viscosity, extend volume, increase transparency, and colour brilliance.

AS GROUND: When creating a sculptural ground, be sure to use adequate pressure to force the gel into the raw canvas to ensure proper bonding. Apply paint over the gel after it is dry.

AS COLLAGE: Excellent adhesion for collage and decoupage.
