Modelling Gel is the most viscous of our mediums. It is an ultra-thick gel capable of holding extreme texture. This gel is best applied with spreading tools and is ideal for collaging heavy objects and creating heavy impasto.

Tri-Art Gloss and Semi-Gloss Gel Mediums are, in essence, high-viscosity paints without pigment. Formulated from 100% pure acrylic polymer emulsion, they are white when wet and dry to a glossy or semi-glossy, flexible film. Tri-Art's Gel Mediums have a creamy, buttery consistency and can hold every texture detail, from high peaks to fingerprints. Even in very thick coats, Tri-Art Gel Mediums maintain optimal flexibility and a fast-drying film that will not yellow with time.

This makes them excellent as a colour extender or impasto glazing medium. Their superior adhesive quality makes them the ideal collage and mixed media medium.

Mix with colours to increase volume and add ultra-thick boy for dramatic textures. Ideal for extreme impasto effets. , it may be applied on top of a dry layer or mixed directly with colours. Milky when wet, it dries translucent with good clarity. Always test your methods and product combinations prior to applying them to the final work in order to ensure the desired effects.
