Artisan Water Mixable Stand Oil is ideal for glazing and delicate details. It gives a smooth enamel finish without brush marks, increases film durability, and slows drying. It can be cleaned up with water.

Artisan Water-Mixable Stand Oil is an excellent glazing medium. It can be combined with water or an Artisan Thinner to increase gloss and transparency. The benefit of This Oil is that it produces a paler, more flexible film than Artisan Linseed Oil, with excellent levelling properties. It is a more durable type of Linseed Oil. Stand Oil is partially polymerized by being heated without oxygen, producing a longer drying time.

Artisan Oil Painting Mediums should not be used with traditional oil colours. It is always best to choose one medium and use it throughout the painting, as with conventional oils.
