Gamblin Solvent-Free Fluid Safflower-Alkyd Painting Medium offers a range of possibilities without drawbacks. It increases the flow of your paint and its transparency.

This Medium contains a soy-based alkyd drying agent and Safflower oil. Gamblin recommends never mixing more than 25% Solvent-Free Fluid with your paints. This limits the slight build-up since the Medium does not evaporate and remains in the paint.

Gamblin Solvent-Free Fluid is a non-toxic painting medium that gives oil colours more flow and transparency. It also has a moderately fast drying rate and increases gloss. Made from safflower oil and alkyd resin, it does not contain Gamsol or petroleum distillates.

Solvent-free fluid should be used in moderation with oil colours no more than 25% by volume to ensure proper drying and prevent paint layers from beading up. To avoid wrinkling, apply mixtures of Solvent-Free Fluid and oil colours thinly. For underpainting, we recommend adding Gamsol to Solvent-Free Fluid.
