Liquitex Iridescent Painting Medium creates a range of iridescent or metallic colours when mixed with acrylic colours. Opaque, when wet, it becomes transparent to translucent when dry; it will not oxidize. Formulated for maximum flexibility and adhesion, it resists chipping or cracking on canvas. It can be applied to any material or surface that accepts traditional acrylic media, such as canvas, paper, wood, and more.

APPLICATION: Mix with small amounts of colour, gradually adding more colour until the desired iridescent quality and transparency are achieved. Transparent and translucent colours work best; however, opaque colours may also be used. The colour becomes more pronounced as the percentage of medium increases. Colours enhance their iridescent quality and become significantly more reflective upon drying. For the mother-of-pearl colour, use directly from the container. When applying on fabric, thin it 50% with water.
