Liquitex offers the broadest range of acrylic mediums to inspire creativity at every stage of the painting process. Liquitex Mediums increase the body of thinner paint for impasto techniques while extending colour volume and enhancing transparency. Gels usually dry more slowly than thinner paint films, allowing for additional workable time. Gel mediums can alter acrylic paints in various ways, and since they contain acrylic resins, they typically improve adhesion and durability.

APPLICATION: Apply with different tools (e.g., palette knife, trowel, paint brush, or cake decorating tips) to produce various effects. Mix acrylic paint into Liquitex Light Modeling Paste or let it dry and paint on top.  

Combine Liquitex Gloss Medium and Varnish to create textured glazes. Add Liquitex Gel Medium or Heavy Gel Medium when incorporating aggregates such as sand to prevent brittleness. Varnish carefully to avoid foaming or clouding; a spray application is preferable, if possible.
